What is cyber hygiene, explains Jitendra Singh, Superintendent of Police, Madhya Pradesh

Every morning we get up and brush our teeth, have a bath, groom ourselves to keep clean. Similarly, there are certain practices we need to follow every day to maintain cyber hygiene.

Cyber hygiene means that we keep habits that help us maintain a safe and secure internet identity. Jietndra Sir shares few very simple exercises like keeping secure passwords, not sharing passwords, immediately informing financial institutions of any mishappenings.

Jitendra Sir says that just like we still get sick sometimes, we might become victims even after keeping good cyber hygiene. In that scenario, we have to immediately inform our loved ones, report to the police. He also tells the families of victims to provide better emotional support in such a scenario.
