On this October 2nd, Gandhi Jayanti, we are glad to feature our advisor, Inspector General Of Police, Uttar Pradesh- Navniet Sekera Sir.

With 22 meritorious years in the Indian Police Force, Sekera Sir is an alumni of IIT Roorkee, went to do MBA from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad & has always been in news for his innovative application of technology for various aspects of policing. He also accepted the Digital excellence award for citizen service in 2017.

One of his most celebrated contributions is his leadership of 1090 Women Power helpline in Uttar Pradesh. Until recently, NS led this case study of a helpline that has handled more than 1.4 crore calls from across 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh during his leadership. Leading a service for a state that is as big as being world’s 5th largest country, if it was to be one, must not have been an easy task.

We also want to thank him for outstanding support in the AAH workshops in Lucknow. That kind of support from authorities goes on to show intent of police in working together with independent initiative & experts. This is critical for bringing about any social change.

In this episode he speaks about the responsibility attached to the police uniform & how to build trust in general population.

Please do listen & be inspired.
