Meet Heroes of Mumbai Police 100! #AAH
Earlier this year we had an opportunity to meet real heroes behind the Mumbai Police dial 100- the emergency helpline, lifeline of the city. The experience left us in awe of the human faces behind the thousands of patient, prompt responses of this crisis helpline.
These heroes of Mumbai Police 100 are working behind the scenes to keep this complex, large, bustling city going about seamlessly, fearlessly. We never get to see the faces of these dedicated personnel who have families too but it’s always Mumbai 1st for them!
Sheer enormity of the calls, peculiarity and far off areas in this stretched city makes this a very demanding service. Crisis calls ranged from kidnapped children, suicidal people, warring neighbors, unwell patients to fights within families. Average response time was under 7 minutes!
Let’s take a moment to salute these real heroes of Mumbai Police 100. Next time you see a police personnel on crowded roads, managing traffic, patiently standing in rain and harsh sun, please do take a moment to say thank you & Jai Hind to them!

This unique strength helps us address any victim complaints that come to us as well as inform people about various measures of law enforcement across the country.

We run India’s only multilingual AI chat helpline for cyber safety. This helpline is currently available in Hindi & English on our website. It can be accessed from any internet enabled device. You can chat here anonymously, fearlessly.
