Main Azaad Hoon #AAH
In this video Ms Akancha Srivastava- Founder of ‘Akancha Against Harassment’ talks about our responsibility as citizens of this beautiful, free, democratic country. While we proudly say Main Azaad Hoon, do we also take up responsibilities attached to it?
Our beautiful country is full of so many wonders from Kashmir to Kanyakumari that it’s impossible to see them all in one lifetime. Different cultures, religions, places of historical importance, cuisines, clothes, dialects, temples, churches, mosques, gurudwaras and so much more that make us truly unique!
Hundreds & thousands of brave men/women sacrificed their lives for us to be free of any external rule. Many of these brave hearts ae not even known to us. They knew that they may not see a free India in their lifetime but they fought so that future generations can breathe free. So that we can say Main Azaad Hoon!
We are always complaining about the problems in the country & it’s absolutely true that there is a lot of room for improvement. However, what are we doing as equal citizens of this country? Do we take responsibility of even 100 meters around us? No pitting, no littering, no paying fines, following traffic rules, wearing masks- are we following all of these? Then what is the point of saying main azaad hoon?
मैं आज़ाद हूँ – यह कहने में तो हमें बहुत गर्व होता है पर क्या आप इतने ही गर्व के साथ – मैं ज़िम्मेदार हूँ – भी कहते हैं?
यह स्वतंत्र देश जिसकी आज़ादी के लिए हज़ारों लाखों सेनानियों ने अपनी जान न्योछावर कर दी, उस देश के प्रति आखिर हमारी क्या ज़िम्मेदारी है?
कश्मीर से लेकर कन्याकुमारी तक यह खूबसूरत,अखंड भारत जहाँ अनगिनत खान पान, देवी देवता, मंदिर मस्जिद चर्च गुरूद्वारे बसते हैं, ऐसे अद्भुत देश के लिए आखिर हम और आप क्या कर रहे हैं? क्या हम इसे और सशक्त बनाने के लिए २४ घंटे में से २४ मिनट भी देते हैं?
अगर हम सब अपने आस पास के १०० मीटर भी स्वच्छ रखें, थूकें न, ट्रैफिक नियम का पालन करें , मास्क पहने, रिश्वत का लेन देन न करें तो यह देश आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए और भी स्वर्णिम बन जायेगा
इसलिए हर बार मैं आज़ाद हूँ के साथ साथ मैं ज़िम्मेदार हूँ कहना न भूलें ३- यदि आपको जान का खतरा लग रहा है तो तुरंत अपने नज़दीकी पुलिस थाने जाएँ और रिपोर्ट दर्ज़ करवाएं
