Swati Ma’am believes that one day of “Womens’ Day” celebration is only symbolic. All genders need to be respected equally every single day. Equal opportunity to education & counselling would make sure we don’t need a specific day for any genders.
Swati Lakra Ma’am- Inspector General Of Police, Women Safety Telangana has many laurels to her name. Here are some:
- Swati Ma’am is an IPS officer of the 1995 batch
- Born and brought up in Ranchi, she did her schooling at Loreto Convent School in Ranchi. & then pursued Political Science from “Lady Shri Ram College Delhi.
- Also served as the Additional Commissioner of Police for Crime and Special Investigation Team in Hyderabad.
- Received the distinguished Humphrey Leadership Award, Precious Daughter of India’ Award for services in the field of women safety and women empowerment
