Experts Recommend New Cybersecurity Law To Protect Women On Social Media #AAH

Being on the internet is an evolving trend. Every day we are learning about new apps and new trends. Along with that, we are also learning about cybersecurity, how to conduct and protect ourselves. Post lockdown, cases of abuse, indecent exposure, unsolicited obscene pictures, threats, malicious emails, ransom demands and blackmail are on the rise. Our foundation received a total of 412 genuine complaints of cyber abuse from March 25 to April 25, 2020.

Experts suggest that amendments should be made to the IT Act to deal with these incidents. The National Commission for Women (NCW) is expected to consolidate these recommendations and submit them to the government.
