Coronavirus: Street Crime, Cyber Fraud On The Rise In India #AAH

Corona virus and the effects of the lockdown have taken India’s economic situation by the storm. With everyone struggling to get to the new normal and making ends meet, street crimes and cyber frauds have become increasingly prominent. These cyber frauds included blackmailing, sextortion, cyber bullying, hate speech and more.

“We have received many complaints of cyber abuse, ranging from exposure to obscene pictures to online threats and blackmailing,” Akancha Srivastava, the founder of the Akancha Foundation organization, told DW.
