Simple safety tips to prevent Identity theft:
Destroy private records and statements
Tear up/ shred – credit cards statements/ documents that contain private financial information
Secure your mail. Empty your mailbox quickly, use a lock
Never leave ATM, credit card receipts behind
Never let your credit card out of your sight
Question sales people if they really need PAN/Aadhar details
Thoroughly review your credit card statements
Report any merchant/ location/purchase you are sure you didn’t transact with/at
