Be Fearless- says Akancha Srivastava!
At a workshop in Delhi University, Akancha spoke to young students who shared their unpleasant experiences. She had one key learning from her own life to share- Be fearless!!
Akancha believes that we need to reclaim our life from any hurt, abuse, unhappiness by speaking up & standing up. If we don’t do that, we not only encourage the abusers, we also live with trauma which never goes away! Therefore, be fearless, speak up.
While we totally understand that this may not be easy for everyone. There are many social factors, especially in India where we fear even sharing any such incident with our family. But, change has to start from us! Suppose there is a relative who misbehaves with you, how do you know they are not misbehaving with others too?
It takes a lot of courage to be fearless, to speak up. We totally understand that but if you need any help in speaking to authorities or professionals, please write to us. We are here to stand by you! You are not alone.

‘Akancha Against Harassment’ is India’s largest social impact initiative against cyber harassment. It was founded by Miss Akancha Srivastava in February 2017. Its a not for profit Section 8 organisation.

Bridging is the most unique attribute of the initiative. We have a host of over 50+ senior police officers from across the country supporting us in content & awareness drive.
This unique strength helps us address any victim complaints that come to us as well as inform people about various measures of law enforcement across the country.
Multilingual AI Chat helpline for cyber safety
We run India’s only multilingual AI chat helpline for cyber safety. This helpline is currently available in Hindi & English on our website. It can be accessed from any internet enabled device. You can chat here anonymously, fearlessly.
We do not track ISPs unless you trigger an SOS to Akancha in any crisis situation.
