Akancha Against Harassment Completes 4 Years #AAH

With a reach of over 302 million people, Akancha Against Harassment is India’s largest social impact initiative against cyber harassment. It completed its glorious four years in February 2021. Let’s take a look at what we have achieved so far and what we aim for.

Traumatised by a personal experience, Akancha Srivastava founded this organisation on February 25, 2017. Ever since, we have not looked back and talked about several issues. These issues include cyberbullying, cyberstalking, cyber grooming, cyber pornography, morphing of images, acts of voyeurism, impersonating, et cetera.

We have an award-winning multilingual AI Chat helpline that has assisted thousands of people in need. Moreover, with over 224 workshops, we have made people aware of their rights, cyber safety, about harassment, and how to deal with it.

The mission is to create awareness around such issues and bridge the gap that exists between people and the Law Enforcement agencies dealing with these issues. With the support of over 52 IPS and IAS officers, we aim to create a cyber environment that is free of harassment and safe for all.

Our helpline is a safe space for all genders – absolutely free of judgement where one can chat anonymously. We would also like to thank our partners and our supporters for sailing with us on this boat. Let’s all together create an environment safe for everyone.
